Sunderland football club has banned Adam Johnson from playing football
for them pending the outcome of a 2-week trial that will start on Friday after the footballer admitted in court yesterday to two charges of sexual activity with a child and child grooming.
Last
week Sunderland manager Sam Alladyce said Johnson will keep on playing
for the club during the court trial but after the player admitted to two
charges yesterday, the club decided to remove him from all football
activities starting with this weekend's game against Manchester United
according to MirrorSport.
