Photos:Rare pink diamond sells for $28.5 million at Geneva auction

This 16.08-carat pink diamond, photographed at Christie's in Geneva was bought for a whooping $28.5 million at an auction on November 10.  This is the largest cushion-shaped stone classified in the elite "fancy vivid" category ever to come to auction, and was owned by an American family until its sale on November 10th.

This pink diamond was also given a name, it was named: 'Sweet Josephine.' That too was bought by a Hong Kong collector who was not publicly identified.
