Singer Cher, 77, admits the 40-year age gap with boyfriend Alexander Edwards, 37, is noticeable as she opens up on their 'happy' romance

     

 

 

 

Cher has opened up about her relationship with her younger lover Alexander 'A.E' Edwards and admitted the 40-year age gap between the couple is noticeable.

The American singer, 77, gushed over how happy she is the music executive, 37.

Talking to Extra, Cher revealed: 'I hate to talk about how happy I am, but no, we have a great time together. We can talk music.

 

'We can talk about everything. He's a got a great sense of humour, he's got the cutest son in the world, ever. We just get each other.'

Joking about the age gap, she added: 'Sometimes I'm talking to him and he has no idea who I'm talking about.

 

'The other day, I said, "Do you know who, I don't know, Clark Gable, [is]?" He said, "Yes, of course," but most of my references… He'll look at me and go, "I wasn't born yet".'

 

Cher and A.E met in October 2022 at Paris Fashion Week after a mutual friend gave him her number.

 

The singer told People recently: 'It was really shocking because people just don’t give out my number.

 

'I had been telling all my friends, "We’re too old to go out with really younger men, and I will never fall in love on text." So I did what I said not to do!'

 

After confirming their relationship in November 2022, Cher debuted a huge diamond ring in December, sparking engagement rumours between the pair.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, she shared a picture of the shining diamond as she wrote: 'THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E'.

 

Back in May, the pair reportedly split, but later reconciled when they were spotted back together again hand in hand at Paris Fashion Week.
