North Cyprus increases Minimum Wage

The North Cyprus government has increased it's Minimum Wage by 190 Turkish Lira and this was made know by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security on Wednesday.

The increase of the Minimum Wage by 190TL was approved by the Minimum Wage Determination Commission.

Labor and Social Security Minister Zeki Çeler said in a statement said that the minimum wage fixing commission's minimum increment would be 190 TL and accordingly, the minimum wage is now 2365 TL.

The new minimum wage is now set at 13.69TL per hour, 109, 5TL per day, 545,77TL per week and 2,365TL per month.

The increment will take effect from this month.

The last time the minimum wage was increased was in February 207 when it was increased from 1,757TL to 2,020 Turkish Lira.
